Instead of sand dunes, you can find unique rock formations and stunning views of the Gulf. Near Film City, you will see a small walled village resembling a traditional settlement, with a main gate and guard towers. For the best view, climb the stairs to the terrace, offering a breathtaking look over the village and oasis. You can also spot Oryx and ostriches, and if the weather is right, take a walk by the oasis. Note: While Oryx make for great photos, they can be protective of their young, so maintain a safe distance.1 hour

6Inland Sea Beach (Khor Al Udaid Beach)Some 60 km from Doha in the south-eastern corner of the country lies one of Qatar’s most impressive natural wonders, the Inland Sea or Khor Al Adaid. A UNESCO-recognized natural reserve with its own ecosystem, this is one of the few places in the world where the sea encroaches deep into the heart of the desert. Inaccessible by road, this tranquil expanse of water can only be reached by crossing the rolling dunes. According to UNESCO, Khor Al Adaid represents a remarkable landscape offering world-class scenic beauty. The area is home to a unique set of fauna, including several species which are internationally rare and/or threatened, such as turtles. Visitors can also enjoy swimming in the calm, clear waters of the Inland Sea, surrounded by vast desert landscapes, a truly distinctive experience where desert meets ocean. Khor Al Adaid is also home to populations of certain species of birds which are of national and regional importance, including long-distance migrant waterfowl that winter here. Visitors may also see ospreys nesting on islets and Arabian gazelles roaming nearby.40 minutes
