How to get to the GEM?
We recommend you use any ride hailing app for all your transportation needs during your stay in Cairo. Alternatively, you could hire a driver with a car for the day. If you are driving your car, there is a parking lot at the GEM where you can park your car at an additional fee.
Wheelchair Users: The Grand Egyptian Museum is fully accessible by wheelchair.
Toilets: There are several public toilets at the GEM.

- Foreign spouses of Egyptians and their children are eligible to buy the Egyptian admission pass.
- Parking is available on site for a fee
- No outside food or beverage is allowed on the premises
- Non-professional, non-commercial personal photography using small handheld cameras and mobile phones is permitted
- Professional recording equipment, cameras with removable lenses, photography/camera lights, tripods, and drones are prohibited
- All passes are non-transferable and non-refundable
