Description
Arrive in Siwa after a scenic drive through Egypt’s Western Desert. Start by exploring Shali Village, known for its unique mudbrick houses and traditional charm. Cool off with a swim in Cleopatra’s Spring, a natural hot spring pool. Then, visit the Mountain of the Dead, an ancient cemetery with rock-cut tombs full of history.
Kick off the second day with a desert safari, where you can ride camels or 4x4s across the sand dunes. Visit the Salt Lakes to admire the sky's reflection on the lake's surface. Later, unwind at Fatnas Spring, a peaceful pool surrounded by palm trees. End the day at the Temple of the Oracle to catch an incredible sunset—legend says Alexander the Great once visited here.
Spend your third morning at the Siwa Market, browsing for local crafts, souvenirs, and treats. Visit the Alexander the Great Temple, a historic site where he was rumored to have been crowned.
