Know Before You Go
- The journey from Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo takes approximately 7 to 9 hours each way. Due to security procedures, buses and cars travel in a convoy accompanied by a police vehicle
- A visa is required to enter Cairo. You can purchase one upon arrival at Sharm El Sheikh Airport for USD 38 per person. Make sure the visa receives the correct stamp for travel to Cairo
- Alternatively, you can purchase the visa from the bank at Sharm El Sheikh Airport and have it stamped there. A taxi can be taken later if needed
- Visa arrangements can also be made on the day of your trip through a separate company during hotel pickup. This service costs EUR 35 or USD 38 per person
- For French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, and German-speaking tours, a minimum of 6 participants is required. If the minimum is not reached, an additional fee for a private guide may apply
