What to expect?
Explore the wonders of ancient Egypt on this guided day tour. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby and you'll head off to visit the Pyramids, Sphinx, and Egyptian Museum. Head first towards the Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Admire the scenic views of the Pyramid of Cheops, Chephren and Mycinerus. Then, stop for a photo-op at the magnificent Great Sphinx. If you choose, you can visit the Great Pyramid at your own cost. Next, it’s time to taste some Egyptian food at a local restaurant.
Once you’re finished, you’ll visit the Egyptian Museum. This vast collection contains more than 250,000 artifacts in its exhibits which span over 5,000 years. If you choose, you can also then explore the room of King Tutankhamun at your own expense, stocked full of vivid jewelry and gold. These dazzling treasures were stored in the King’s tomb for 3,500 years before their discovery during the excavation in 1920.
Finally, you’ll be taken to visit the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar to enjoy the atmosphere of a local market in the old city. Stroll along this historic souk (market) and witness the variety of antiques, jewelry and souvenirs for sale, all made in the region. Finish your tour with a transfer back to your hotel once you’re finished marvelling at the sights of Egypt.
