The Grand Egyptian Museum is the largest museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization, showcasing more than 5,000 years of ancient Egyptian history in a landmark architectural complex overlooking the Giza Plateau.
The museum’s expansive galleries include the complete Tutankhamun collection displayed together for the first time, along with extensive halls that trace Egypt’s development from its prehistoric beginnings through the Pharaonic, Late, and Greco-Roman periods. Visitors can explore monumental features such as the Grand Staircase lined with statues of kings and deities, the Hanging Obelisk at the entrance, and the colossal statue of Ramesses II that anchors the Grand Hall.
Designed as a fully immersive cultural experience, the museum combines archaeology, conservation, and narrative interpretation through state-of-the-art displays, interactive installations, and carefully curated thematic zones.
Conservation laboratories, open public spaces, and landscaped outdoor areas connect seamlessly with the interior galleries, creating an environment where visitors can engage with Egypt’s heritage in a modern, accessible, and visually striking setting. The Grand Egyptian Museum aims to present the story of ancient Egypt on an unprecedented scale, offering one of the most comprehensive and engaging museum experiences in the world.
