Wadi Degla is known to many as a place to go to for camping with friends or to escape the city. Many do not know the rich heritage of this protectorate or the immense geology it holds up to today. Join us on this one-of-a kind to experience to know about the rock formations and learn about the unique landscape we have right here in the heart of Cairo.
In this journey, we will travel through 2 different time portals; one that takes us back 45 million years and the other takes us back up to 5 million years. I am excited to have you join me and learn about all the great features these rocks have and continue to keep in good shape up to today. I hope that this will raise more awareness about the invaluable nature we have here and how we must preserve it for the next generations to come.
We will be walking for approximately 4-km so please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Please plan to bring your own water bottles as there are no water stations in the areas we will be exploring.
