What to expect?

Your 4-5 hours morning safari begins when you’re picked up at your hotel in a 4x4 Vehicle and head off with your local guide to the desert, just a 45 minute ride from Dubai.

Reaching Lahbab Red Dunes desert, you will get 20–25 minutes to relax. Restroom and toilet facilities are available there. Try quad biking, which is an optional addition. Once your 4x4 vehicle is ready, you will be taken across the desert. 

Be ready for a 35–45 minutes dune bashing. The time will be based on your selected tour option. Feel the car bounce around driving up and down the red dunes in the 4x4 Vehicle to get the adrenaline flowing. Try sandboarding, a popular desert activity, once the drive is over. Remember to take plenty of photos before heading to the Al Khayma camp.

At the camp, get welcomed by the Arabian hospitality with a traditional Arabic coffee, sweets (Gawa, Gaymat) and dates. Relax for sometime before a short camel ride (which can be repeated) in the nearby area.. Once you've finished your tour, you will be taken back to your hotel.  

Know Before You Go

• On shared tours the actual pick-up time will be within 45 minutes of your selected pickup time
• Infants (under 3 years of age) are not allowed in the car during the dune bashing drive
• All desert safari drivers are well-trained, licensed safari drivers. The Land Cruiser vehicles are fully insured and well equipped with all necessary safety features, such as roll bars, seat belts, government tracker, GPS, GMS, and a first aid box, etc
• The tour duration includes the pickup and drop off
• Please note that quad biking is a recreational activity where participants drive off-road vehicles at their own risk. It is important to be aware that the activity provider's insurance does not cover any accidents or damages that may occur during quad biking. Therefore, the rider and passenger bear sole responsibility for any incidents or injuries that may arise. It is highly recommended that participants obtain international travel insurance as self-driving activities can be risky and may result in serious injuries.
• For shared ATV rides, participants between the ages of 9 and 15 must be accompanied by an adult. However, participants aged 16 to 55 are permitted to ride single ATVs on their own.
• Please note that quad biking is an optional activity and is not automatically included in the program. If you choose to participate, it is advised to avoid eating within 2-3 hours before the trip to minimize the risk of experiencing sickness during the dune bashing.
• In shared transport arrangements, guests from Sharjah will be picked up first and dropped off last.
• Please be aware that pickup timings may be subject to change during the summer heat. In such cases, advance notification will be provided to inform you of any changes.
• If you wish to cancel your tour, flexible cancellation options are available up to 2 hours before the scheduled start time. However, it is important to note that all members of the group must select this add-on for the cancellation policy to apply.
• Individuals with back problems, disabilities, or those aged 60 and above are strongly advised against riding camels due to potential health risks.

Pickup Location: Complimentary pickup is available from Dubai city hotels, apartments, and Cruise terminal Dubai ( Port Rashid). Pickup from Bab Al Shams, Al Maha resort, and Jebel Ali is available with an additional fee.
