Day 1 : Fez - Atlas Mountains - Merzouga Desert CampYour adventure begins with a morning pickup from your hotel or riad in Fez. Travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you’ll pass through the charming alpine-style town of Ifrane. Continue to Azrou, known for its cedar forests and resident Barbary macaques, where you can stop for photos and feed the monkeys. Afterward, continue toward Midelt, a picturesque town nestled between the High and Middle Atlas ranges, where you’ll stop for lunch and some rest. As the landscape begins to change, descend into the Ziz Valley, with its lush palm groves contrasting beautifully with the surrounding desert. By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara. Meet your camel caravan and begin your sunset camel trek across the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi. Upon arrival at your luxury desert camp, enjoy mint tea and relax as the sun sets over the desert horizon. In the evening, sit down for a traditional Moroccan dinner, followed by live Berber music and drumming around the campfire. Spend the night in a private ensuite tent under the starlit sky.8 hours
