Important Note: Please ensure you select the correct ticket type based on your nationality. To access the Pyramids Area, you need to purchase "Main Entry Ticket". If you would like to enter inside any of the pyramids, those are additional tickets (titled Add On) which you can find in the options above.

The Pyramids of Giza are one of the most popular and crowded tourist sites in the world. Ticket office queues can be long and for this, we recommend that you purchase your tickets online in advance.

Once you purchase your tickets plus any add-ons (if selected), you will receive an email with e-tickets that grant you access to the attraction.

Recommendation for best time to visit:
We recommend you visit the Pyramids of Giza in the early mornings (reach there by 7:00 - 8:00 am).

How to get to the Pyramids?

We recommend you use Uber for all your transportation needs during your stay in Cairo. Alternatively, you could hire a driver with a car for the day.

The Metro is also an option. Metro line 2 runs to Giza, and the nearest station is Giza on Al Haram Road. From here you can take a taxi or bus to the Pyramids.

There are two main entrances to the Pyramids of Giza Complex:

Great Pyramid Entrance (Recommended): One entrance is to the north of the Giza plateau, next to the Great Pyramid. It can be reached from Al Haram Road near the Marriott Mena House hotel

Sphinx Entrance: The second entrance is to the east of the Giza plateau, in front of the Sphinx. This is also the entrance for the Sound & Light Show, and there are numerous shops and restaurants near this entrance, including a Pizza Hut.

Wheelchair Users: The Pyramids of Giza are not fully accessible by wheelchair. It is possible to get fairly close to the Pyramids of Khufu and Khafre via the sidewalks. You can also drive around the Giza complex to look for picture-taking opportunities.

Audio Guides: There are no official audio guides available, though you can download them from the internet if needed.

Toilets: There are several public toilets at the Pyramids of Giza, available for a small fee. One is located to the right of the tick booth before you enter the Pyramid Complex, and there is another located near the gift shop in the Solar Barque Museum.

Guided Tours: While it is possible to find guides at the entrance to the pyramids, it is better to plan in advance and opt for a guided tour, or engage a registered guide.
