Doha: Mangroves Kayaking Experience in Purple Island Al Khor

Nestled along the coast near Al Khor is a vast and beautiful mangrove forest, the best way to access the forest is by kayak. We will take you through the network of channels that have been carved out by tidal action. The area supports a lot of bird life and is a favorite destination for nature lovers.

Suitable for families and those looking for a relaxed easy paddle taking in the greenery and bird life of the nature reserve. 

Fitness Level: anyone can join
Swimming Skills: not required as it's mostly shallow water

This experience is suitable for Kids starting from 2 years old but they must be accompanied by an Adult.

⚠️ Tide Level Indication for Mangrove Purple Island Tours ⚠️  - Please check the last picture in the gallery for details or read the below: 

** Super High tide / High Tide: Good opportunity to access mangrove's channels

** Medium tide: we can not guarantee to access the mangrove 🌳 channels by kayaks 🚣🏼‍, it will be just a tour in front of Purple Island area in shallow water

** Low Tide: We can't operate the tour due to insufficient water depth for the kayaks

** Super High Tide / High Tide منسوب مد عالي :During a Super High Tide or High Tide, there is a favorable opportunity to access the channels within the mangroves

** Medium / Low Tide منسوب مد متوسط :At medium to low tide levels, we cannot ensure access to the🌳 mangrove channels via kayaks🚣🏼‍. Instead, the tour will be conducted in the shallower waters near the Purple Island area. Please be aware that during this time, there may be a considerable distance to 🚶walk to reach the kayaks.
