- Day 1: Zanzibar to Mikumi + Maasai Cultural VisitYour journey begins with an early morning hotel pickup in Zanzibar, followed by a transfer to the ferry terminal for the 7:00 AM sailing to Dar es Salaam, arriving at 8:40 AM. From there, you’ll board the 9:30 AM high-speed train to Morogoro, a scenic ride that offers glimpses of rural Tanzania before arriving at 11:15 AM. A private vehicle will then take you onward to Mikumi National Park. After checking into your lodge and enjoying lunch, the afternoon is dedicated to an enriching visit to a Maasai village. Here, you’ll be welcomed by the community, learn about their traditions and way of life, and experience their colorful attire and vibrant culture firsthand. - Day 2: Full-Day Safari in Mikumi National ParkAfter an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park. This is one of Tanzania’s wildlife gems, where open savannahs provide perfect opportunities to spot elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, buffalo, antelopes, and many other species in their natural habitat. The morning drive focuses on capturing the best light and the most active moments of predators. Around midday, enjoy a buffet lunch inside the park before continuing your exploration in the afternoon, when the softer light makes for stunning photography. As the sun sets over the plains, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and another peaceful night surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.10 hours
- Day 3: Return to ZanzibarOn your final morning, enjoy breakfast at your lodge before transferring back to Morogoro to catch the morning train to Dar es Salaam.
